Jerry Flegel is announcing he is running for city council again after being defeated in the last election.

Flegel was the representative for Ward 10 until he was defeated in 2009 by former Roughrider Chris Szarka.

The realtor has now issued a news release stating his intention to re-enter civic politics by running to take back that seat.

The first day for nominations for the October election is Monday. Candidates have until the end of September to get their papers in.
