Renovations are going to begin again in the north end zone at Mosaic Stadium.

Friday night the new seats didn't exactly have a good showing, with a number of them breaking throughout the evening, something that was very noticeable at practice Monday morning.

"Fans were disappointed and so were we," said Riders president and CEO Jim Hopson. "We are going to make sure they are rectified before the next game."

How will they do that? Well Hopson says the company that did the work is going to take out every single seat and re-install them.

"I understand it has to do with the weld, and how it was done," said Hospon.

The seats weren't the only issue some fans in the north end zone were experiencing, those closer to the field couldn't actually see what was going on because there was a big bar from the fencing in their way.

"Sight lines are an issues we an address with moving of some of the fencing and so on," said Hopson, adding that if people still aren't satisfied they are saving some seats for those who wish to change their seats.

The good news is that no one was seriously hurt from the broken seats.

"We haven't had any reports of serious injuries," said Hopson. "But even the nicks aren't acceptable."

The south end zone seats held up much better, as they are actually a different type of seat. Hopson said they had to go with the different seats at each end of the field because they could only find so many that would be ready for the start of the season.

Overall, Hopson said most people liked the renovations
