With the weather clearing up again you might channel 'Easy Rider' and take a ride on a motorcycle but RCMP and SGI don't want people to take it easy on safety.

They have proclaimed this week Motorcycle Safety Week.The goal is to raise awareness for all drivers to stay safe around motorcycles.

Four people died last year in collisions involving motorcycles and there were 287 crashes in total.

SGI reminds drivers that although the bikes might be a smaller vehicle, that just makes them harder to see. They still need the same amount of space as a car or truck.
