The wind may have died down, but city crews and residents continue to comb the streets, cleaning up debris left from Tuesday and Wednesday's storms.

The strong gusts have caused significant damage across Saskatoon.

Brendan Lemke, the construction and maintenance manager with the City of Saskatoon, said if a collapsed branch or tree has fallen, do not remove it yourself.

"First of all they should always notify us right away of these locations. That helps us to know where we can dispatch crews and if we have crews in the area, we can get out there and take a look," he explained.

Residents should alsy stay clear of broken power lines as they may be energized even though they may not look it, said Lemke.

In the event of a fallen tree or a live wire emergency, call the City of Saskatoon at 306-975-2621 or visit their website to learn more.
